Continuing Education Courses (CEUs)
The New Jersey Division of Fire Safety requires that as part of the recertification process the Fire Instructor must recertify every three years. As part of this process, Continuing Education Units (CEU's) must be obtained within the three year cycle.
The CEU's for
recertification are listed below:
Fire Instructor Level 1................. 1.5 CEU's Fire Instructor Level 2................. 1.5 CEU's SCBA / Smokehouse Instructor............ .25 CEU's Live Burn Instructor.................... .25 CEU's
The Fire Division will be scheduling CEU courses during the 2008 year. The announcements will be faxed and e-mailed to all county departments to assist your Fire Instructors in maintaining their certifications. The courses that will be scheduled have been approved for CEU's by the Division of Fire Safety.
